The name's Meng Jia & I'm twenty-six years young.
I originally hail from Hunan, China but came into my own in San Francisco.
I was the original host of a long-running podcast about sex & dating
but retired this past year. I'm looking into careers here but I need
a job in the meantime. I've got a degree in Media & Communications and
a little bit of experience in hospitality/service, so hopefully someone
can get me hooked up with something~

That's a good question! To get a little deep on you, I'd say that one memorable thing that got repeated a lot was the idea of being able to turn your judgement inwards rather than outwards to re-evaluate where you stand on something. I think it's something that builds patience, inner strength and clarity.

There's ads of course, which I always tried to avoid as much as possible. But it's mostly sponsors and listener donation-run.

I didn't mean it to sound serious (laugh). You favor sponsors over ads? Is it because ads can be random?

Yeah, given the demographic and point of view of my team, it was important to be supported only by money we felt was in the right place, if that makes sense. We tried to avoid a lot of corporate stuff.

That is admirable. Sometimes it's easy to look past values when money's tall. (laugh) I'm looking into possible CSRs for the company now that I'm Hong Kong based.
